Companies House Warning On Bogus Emails

Companies House has issued a warning after a large number of phishing emails portraying to be from Companies House have been reported. You should be suspicious of unsolicited emails, even if they look like they’re from a trusted source.
Companies House will never ask you to disclose personal or payment information by email.

- company complaint submitted using the Companies House WebFiling
- confirm acceptance or rejection of annual return submission
- update your company details – compulsory Companies House WebFiling update
What should I do if I receive a phishing email?
- If you receive an email you doubt is genuinely from Companies House do not click on any links or open any attachments.
- Do not disclose any personal details or respond to the email.
- Forward the email to Companies House at phishing@companieshouse.gov.uk.
- Delete the email.
