Win up to £35,000 to develop digital solutions that could transform the future of shopping
Innovate UK’s IC tomorrow programme is seeking innovative digital ideas that meet five challenges faced by retail businesses.
Up to five businesses could each win £35,000 to develop solutions around ‘future retail’, across the themes of:
- food and drink waste reduction
- virtual fitting to reduce the high returns rate experienced by online retailers
- seamless shopping for consumer products that are regularly replaced
- enhancing shopping experiences in physical stores
- digital enhancement of streets and covered markets to help them adapt and grow
Successful applicants will be expected to trial their ideas with industry partners for at least three months, while keeping their intellectual property
Competition information
This competition opens on 11 January 2016 and applications must be submitted by noon on 23 February 2016.
A briefing event will take place in London on 21 January 2016. It will also be available as a live and recorded webinar for those who cannot attend the event.
