31 October Deadline For Paper Tax Returns
If you are filing your Self Assessment tax return by paper you must do so by midnight on 31 October 2014
If you are still one of the few who file their tax return by paper the 31 October deadline is fast approaching. However if you would like more time to file your return the deadline for online returns is 31 January 2015.
Who must send a tax return?
You must always send a tax return if you’re:
- a self-employed sole trader
- a partner in a business partnership
- a company director
If you’re not sure you can check if you need to send a tax return on the GOV.UK website.
