Basic Criteria
Applications must demonstrate a community problem and how a short project will help address this issue. Projects must be implemented in realistic timescales (day or week) and take place between July – Dec 2013. The competition is designed as a one time hit for young people to design a quick project, benefiting the community and to experience the concept of social entrepreneurship.
This competition is open to individuals aged between 11 and 21 years only. Clubs and organisations cannot apply; however, applications from individuals within a club/organisation setting are welcome to apply, providing the project is run separately from the club/organisation.
Applicants can apply up to £250 – £500. Young people aged 11 to 18 years must have parental permission and must work with an Advisor to assist in the implement of the project (eg youth/club worker, parent, teacher etc). Applications will only be accepted from an individual or a small informal group (2/3 people). Funds will only cover project costs and not direct salaries.
